Intro to Deal is a newsletter and community run by Beverly Ezebuike, a sole trader based in London, United Kingdom. I am the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach me at hello@introtodeal.com.
This policy explains what personal information I collect through introtodeal.com, the Intro to Deal newsletter and the community, why I collect it, who I share it with and the rights you have.
When you reply to the monthly reader question, I publish only the combined picture of what readers said. I never publish your name, your company or anything that identifies you without asking you first.
I use a small number of trusted providers who process data on my behalf. These are the email platform that sends the newsletter and holds the list, Netlify for hosting this website, and Cal.com for bookings. Some of these providers are based outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States, and where that happens the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. I do not sell your personal information, and I never share it with sponsors.
If a future issue carries a sponsor, the sponsor receives only overall figures about the readership, such as total readers and broad roles or sectors. They never receive your email address or any information that identifies you.
I keep your details for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe I remove you from the mailing list, and keep only a record that you unsubscribed so you are not emailed again. Messages and booking details are kept for as long as needed to deal with them, and for a reasonable period afterwards.
This website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes I will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
You can ask for a copy of your information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how I use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email hello@introtodeal.com and I will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. I would be grateful for the chance to put things right first.
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
